About CCLab

CCLab is a platform for advancing spatial justice and just energy transitions through research, design, and education. Focusing on public space as a critical site of transformation, the lab works across university campuses and neighbourhoods to support inclusive, low-carbon futures. It integrates teaching and practice by connecting bachelor’s students with real-world spatial justice projects and master’s students with digital co-design and living lab methodologies. CCLab welcomes researchers and practitioners committed to collaborative design and equitable public space development.

Networks

The CCLab builds on its international network at the intersection of campus development, energy transition, and spatial justice. It fosters cross-faculty collaboration by bringing together expertise from the fields of design, energy, mobility, and digitalisation. Through joint studios, collaborative research projects, co-authored publications, and exchange programs, the lab actively engages with academic and municipal partners to explore inclusive, low-carbon futures.

CCLAB closely collaborates with the IDEA League working group on sustainable campus transformation. It organized two summer schools, a sustainability conference and an international exhibition as a part of Venice Biennale with the IDEA League partners.
