Successful BLE Workshops: Co-Creating a Resilient RWTH Campus
Our workshops at the RWTH Built and Lived Environment (BLE) Science Day on November 13 were a great success! The CCLab contributed two interactive sessions that brought together students, researchers, and colleagues to explore how participatory and community-driven approaches can support a more climate-resilient RWTH Aachen University Campus.
Across different workshops, using the Climate Imaginerium Serious Game and the AR-based co-design tool, participants experimented with hands-on tools for collaborative outdoor space design, discussed the role of energy communities, and tested participatory methods that help translate community insights into spatial strategies. The conversations were lively and inspiring, showing a strong interest in shaping the campus through inclusive and creative processes.
We extend our sincere thanks to the BLE Profile Area, especially Ayça Sancar and Iris Schümmer, for hosting and organising this meaningful event. We are equally grateful to all participants for their thoughtful ideas and active engagement; your contributions are essential as we work towards a campus transformation that enhances both climate resilience and social equity.
We are excited to continue this momentum and collaborate on developing shared visions and actionable strategies for the future RWTH Campus.
