Keynote at RCA Conference hosted by University of Ljubljana
September 2025

Dr. Ceren Sezer delivered a keynote at the RCA (Resilient Cities and Architecture) Conference, held 17-20 September 2025 at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The conference, titled “The Spirit of Place – Cultivating Identity in the Built Environment,” explored adaptive regionalism and the balance between architectural tradition and innovation, with thematic focuses on climate resilience, social inclusion, and preserving cultural identity and collective memory.
Her keynote “Co-designing for Belonging: Identity, Justice and Participation for Shaping Sustainable Futures” presented CCLab’s work on inclusive, participatory approaches to urban transformation, especially attentive to local identity and history.
We warmly thank Prof. Matej Nikšič and Prof. Alenka Fikfak for their kind invitation and generous hospitality. A special highlight was finally meeting in person with inspiring colleagues from Prostorož — Alenka Korenjak, Zala Velkavrh, and Naja Kikelj Širok. Conference link
